Dexter Family Practice Announces Transition to Electronic Health Records
Dexter Family Practice is happy to announce it's transition to Electronic Health Records.
The Electronic Health Record (EHR) is a complete electronic record of patient health information generated by one or more encounters in any care delivery setting. Included in this information are patient demographics, progress notes, problems, medications, vital signs, past medical history, immunizations, laboratory data and radiology reports. The EHR automates and streamlines the clinician's workflow. The EHR has the ability to generate a complete record of a clinical patient encounter - as well as supporting other care-related activities directly or indirectly via interface - including evidence-based decision support, quality management, and outcomes reporting.
The implementaion process will begin 10/4/2010 with the installation of demographic and scheduling componant. The incorporation of the electronic health record will begin in January of 2011 to be completed by med March of 2011.
We appreciate your patience during this transition period. If you have any questions about this process or how this affects your health record, please feel free to contact me at this office or via e-mail from this site.
